The Hunter NODE-400 is a compact battery-powered irrigation controller designed to be installed right in the valve box, with no mains power and no cabling back to the house. It controls 4 stations through DC latching solenoids (sold separately) and runs on one or two 9 V alkaline batteries. Programming is flexible: 3 independent programs, each with up to 4 start times, run times of up to 6 hours and seasonal adjustment to follow the weather. The IP68 submersible housing is built to live outdoors in a buried valve box, and the battery-life indicator tells you in good time when to replace the batteries. Station outputs deliver 9–11 VDC, with a maximum cable run of 30 m using 1 mm² wire. A practical, reliable choice for remote garden zones, planters, parks and any spot where electricity is simply not available.
